Project Update, Week Three

This week, we continued with our planning stage and got started on more of the specifics. We went over all of our notes from the project partner interview and started translating them into requirements. We categorized those requirements based on how important they are in order to help us stay focused. Also, some members of our group met with a member of the group from last quarter who started this project. This meeting gave us valuable insight into the design decisions the previous team made and why they made them. It also further reinforced what can be improved upon for our application.

I spent this week diving further into the code for the existing application and trying to translate it to functionality. I downloaded the iOS app on to my phone and played around with what is currently implemented. This has provided me with deeper insights into what works well and what can be improved upon.

Our homework was to create a Gantt chart as well as write an introduction for our project. The Gantt chart will organize our timeline at a high level and keep us accountable for sticking to a tight schedule. The introduction will provide us with a written outline of what our project does, who it is for and why people will want it.
